Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run $6,250 a year under its published fee schedule. Already a client and thinking about leaving? What Texas Capital Private Wealth Advisors’ own fee schedule charges
The registrant is Texas Capital Bank Wealth Management Services, Inc., doing business as Texas Capital Bank Private Wealth Advisors, of Dallas, Texas. The priced schedule is for individual clients, and the brochure says the firm serves high net worth individuals and their families. The brochure states a $1,000,000 minimum account size for advisory services, which the firm may waive.
“the annual fee schedule for portfolio management for portfolios of less than $5,000,000, based on a percentage of assets under management, is as follows: Fee Rate Assets Under Management 1.25% of the first $1,000,000 1.00% of the next $1,000,000 0.80% Remaining Balance”
The brochure lists the schedule as a rate “of the first” and “of the next” dollars, so each balance is priced marginally, with each band’s rate applied only to the dollars inside it: 1.25% on the first $1,000,000, 1.00% on the next $1,000,000 and 0.80% on the remainder. The brochure discloses no minimum annual dollar fee, so no floor applies, and the $1,000,000 figure is an account size minimum. The brochure says the firm may make exceptions or negotiate special fee arrangements, so the figures are a published schedule rather than a guaranteed charge.
What the same brochure says about fees charged on top of this schedule: “Clients who agree to use outside sub-advisers via the Pershing, Raymond James, and Fidelity platforms pay a separate management fee on the portion of their portfolio managed by the outside sub-adviser.” The table below is the firm’s own advisory fee schedule and does not include any such additional fee.
| Account balance | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 | $3,125 |
| $500,000 | $6,250 |
| $1,000,000 | $12,500 |
| $2,000,000 | $22,500 |

Registration
Texas Capital Bank Private Wealth Advisors is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #298422, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).
This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity).
What it costs to leave
Texas Capital Bank Private Wealth Advisors’s Form ADV Part 2A states “Either the Adviser or the client may terminate their investment advisory agreement at any time, subject to any written notice requirements in the agreement.” Texas Capital Bank Private Wealth Advisors names three possible custodians in its brochure, with no single default. Pershing Advisor Solutions LLC’s own published fee schedule states “Account Termination” Steward Partners Investment Solutions, LLC’s own published fee schedule (issued by Steward Partners Investment Solutions, LLC, not by Raymond James & Associates, Inc.; the schedule states that the fees it lists represent the fees charged by Raymond James) states “ACAT Outgoing Transfer 1 $125 $125” Fidelity discloses no comparable line item (an honest gap).
The general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.
