Flagstar Securities Review (2026): Fees and SEC Registration

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Flagstar Securities is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #104233, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run $7,500 a year under its published fee schedule. This review covers what its own fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; it does not assess fiduciary status or account minimums.

What Flagstar Securities’ own fee schedule charges

The registrant is Flagstar Securities, Inc. of New York, a dually registered broker-dealer and investment adviser that the SEC record also lists as Flagstar Advisors and, formerly, Signature Securities Group. The priced schedule is the Managed Account Program advisory fee, and the brochure lists individuals and high net worth individuals among its clients.

“Market Value Annual Fee Up to $999,999 1.50% $1,000,000 $4,999,999 1.00% $5,000,000 $9,999,999 0.75% $10,000,000 $19,999,999 0.50% Above $20,000,000 0.40%”

The brochure says the table reflects the maximum fees the firm permits and is based on threshold billing, meaning that when the account balance reaches the next threshold, the listed fee is charged on the entire account balance. Each balance is therefore priced at the single rate for the band it falls in, applied to the whole balance rather than stacked by band. The brochure states that the firm has no minimum account size or minimum annual fee, so no floor applies. Advisory fees are described as negotiable, so the figures are ceilings rather than typical charges.

What the same brochure says about fees charged on top of this schedule: “Managed Account Program Client fees will include an advisory fee, a sponsor fee and if your account is managed by a TPA, an additional manager fee for such TPA.” The table below is the firm’s own advisory fee schedule and does not include any such additional fee.

Account balanceAnnual fee
$250,000$3,750
$500,000$7,500
$1,000,000$10,000
$2,000,000$20,000

These figures come directly from Flagstar Securities’ own current fee brochure, cited in Sources below.

Registration

Flagstar Securities, Inc. is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #104233, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).

This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity).

What it costs to leave

We did not find a firm-specific dollar figure for leaving Flagstar Securities in its brochure or in its custodian’s published schedules, so we are not stating one. The general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.

Methodology. This page was built September 28, 2026, drawing directly on Flagstar Securities’ own current fee brochure, cited in Sources below, and a fresh SEC IAPD registration check run the same day. Where exit-fee facts are cited, they trace to the named custodian’s own published schedule. Any fact we could not independently confirm is named as an honest gap rather than presented as verified. Nothing here is personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for reading Flagstar Securities’ own Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS.
