TD Wealth Review (2026): Fees, Fiduciary Status, and Minimum

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 24, 2026. Quick answer: TD Wealth is registered with the SEC as both a broker-dealer and an investment adviser. Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run $5,500 a year under its published fee schedule; the minimum to open an account is no fixed published minimum for TD Investment Services (US) / High Net Worth Program. Is it a fiduciary? Yes, when it is acting as your investment adviser; when the same representative acts as your broker-dealer instead, the applicable standard is best-interest, not fiduciary, and its own Form CRS states representatives can earn commissions in that capacity.

What TD Wealth’s own fee schedule charges

“TDPCW’s TDIS (US) Managed Account Program is an investment advisory offering for retail Clients that have at least $100,000 in investable assets… TDIS (US) Equity/Balanced Wrap Fee Schedule: All Assets 1.10%. High Net Worth (“HNW”) clients are defined as those generally having more than $1,000,000 in investable assets… HNW Equity/Balanced Wrap Fee Schedule: First $1,000,000 1.50%; Next $1,000,000 1.05%; Next $2,000,000 0.85%; Over $4,000,000 0.65%.”

At $250,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000 the client has $1,000,000 or less in investable assets, so the TDIS (US) Program’s flat 1.10% applies to the whole balance (250000×0.011=2750; 500000×0.011=5500; 1000000×0.011=11000). At $2,000,000 the client clears the High Net Worth Program’s more-than-$1,000,000 threshold, so the marginal tiered schedule applies instead: 1000000×0.015=15000, plus the next 1000000×0.0105=10500, for 15000+10500=25500.

Account balanceAnnual fee
$250,000$2,750
$500,000$5,500
$1,000,000$11,000
$2,000,000$25,500

Is TD Wealth a fiduciary?

TD PRIVATE CLIENT WEALTH LLC (“TDPCW,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) as both a broker-dealer and investment adviser and is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”) and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”).

“When we provide you with a recommendation as your broker-dealer or act as your investment adviser, we have to act in your best interest and not put our interest ahead of yours.”

Our TDPCW financial professionals are compensated, in part, based on the account type and relationship you have with us. For brokerage services, your financial professional will be compensated from the commissions we charge, and a conflict of interest arises based on the type and frequency of transactions effected in your brokerage account. For investment advisory services, your financial professional receives compensation based on a percentage of the assets under management in your account, and a conflict of interest arises based on the compensation we make due to your enrollment in a fee-based program and the addition of assets to your account.
