What Mutual of Omaha Investor Services’ own fee schedule charges
CRD 611 independently re-verified ACTIVE/isSECRegistered=Y, SEC-approved since 7/30/2002; also does business as Mutual of Omaha Financial Advisors. The 1.25% figure is the stated ceiling for the firm’s FSP/SMA/UMA Managed Account Services; a separate, higher 2.25% ceiling applies only to its Advisor-as-Portfolio-Manager (APM) account type and is not used here.
“The specific annual fee of MOIS for Managed Account Services will generally be identified in the Statement of Investment Selection signed by you and MOIS or other written addendum between the parties. Under no circumstances will the annual fee of MOIS for FSP, SMA or UMA Managed Account Services exceed 1.25% (one hundred twenty-five basis points). Under no circumstances will the annual fee of MOIS for APM Managed Account Services exceed 2.25% (two hundred twenty-five basis points). MOIS will not charge a performance fee for its investment advisory services based on the capital gains or the capital appreciation of your account. MOIS allows your Advisor to set the exact investment advisory fee within ranges provided by MOIS. As a result, your Advisor may charge more or less for the same service than another Advisor of MOIS.”
Each balance is shown at the plan’s 1.25% ceiling rate applied to the full account value, since the brochure sets this as a hard cap rather than a marginal schedule and states no separate flat-dollar minimum for this fee.
| Account balance | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 | $3,125 |
| $500,000 | $6,250 |
| $1,000,000 | $12,500 |
| $2,000,000 | $25,000 |

Registration
Mutual of Omaha Investor Services, Inc. is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #611, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).
This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity). For the fiduciary-standard question itself, see the fiduciary-status page for Mutual of Omaha Investor Services.
What it costs to leave
Mutual of Omaha Investor Services, Inc.’s Form ADV Part 2A states “If the Managed Account Services are terminated prior to the end of a quarter, the fee for the last billing period will be pro-rated and MOIS will refund any investment advisory fees paid to MOIS in advance that exceed the pro-rated fee for this final billing period.” Mutual of Omaha Investor Services, Inc. names exactly one custodian in its brochure: Pershing. Pershing’s own published fee schedule states “Account Termination $150.00 per account.”
A dedicated how-to-leave page for Mutual of Omaha Investor Services covers the exit costs in full; the general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.
