Guides › Financial Advisor Fees
Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Wealthcare Capital Management is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #111119, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run up to $9,250 a year (the published maximum) under its published fee schedule. Already a client and thinking about leaving? Budget $50 at Schwab, or $150 at Pershing, depending on your custodian. This review covers what its own fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; it does not assess fiduciary status or account minimums.

What Wealthcare Capital Management’s own fee schedule charges
Wealthcare Capital Management LLC is the registered adviser and the brochure refers to it as WCM. The priced figure is the management fee for individual wealth and investment management clients, which the brochure sets by factors including investment types, relationship size and reporting requirements.
“Management fees are at an annual rate of up to 1.85% based on several factors including the types of investments, size of the Client relationship, reporting requirements, portfolio restrictions and other factors.”
Each balance is priced at the stated 1.85% upper annual rate applied to the whole household asset value. The brochure says the firm may impose a minimum annual fee that it can waive, but it discloses no dollar amount, so no floor is applied. These are ceiling figures, not typical charges, since the brochure says fees may be negotiable and the rate depends on the factors it lists.
The table below is the firm’s own advisory fee schedule. Fund expenses, custodian charges and any third-party manager or platform fees are generally separate from an advisory fee like this one; Item 5 of the brochure lists what applies to a given account.
| Account balance | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 | $4,625 |
| $500,000 | $9,250 |
| $1,000,000 | $18,500 |
| $2,000,000 | $37,000 |

Registration
Wealthcare Capital Management LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #111119, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).
This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity).
What it costs to leave
Wealthcare Capital Management LLC’s Form ADV Part 2A states “Upon termination, the Advisor will refund any unearned, prepaid management fees from the effective date of termination to the end of the quarter.” Wealthcare Capital Management LLC names three possible custodians in its brochure, with no single default. Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.’s own published fee schedule states “Full transfer (out) of assets” Pershing Advisor Solutions LLC’s own published fee schedule states “Account Termination” Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions discloses no comparable line item (an honest gap).
The general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.
