Rebalance Review (2026): Fees and SEC Registration

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Rebalance is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #158242, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run $3,750 a year under its published fee schedule. Already a client and thinking about leaving? Budget $50 if Schwab custodies your account. This review covers what its fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; this firm also has a fiduciary-status page and minimum-investment page on this site.

What Rebalance’s own fee schedule charges

CRD 158242 independently re-verified ACTIVE/isSECRegistered=Y, SEC-approved since 9/28/2011; the legal entity is Rebalance, LLC. The brochure’s current branded offering is called Rebalance360 (operated under the Rebalance IRA marketing name); Rebalance360 accounts carry a $1,000,000 minimum the firm says it may waive at its discretion, so the two lower benchmark balances used here fall below that stated minimum. The brochure also notes Rebalance may adjust fees from this standard schedule at its discretion.

“Rebalance’s annual advisory fees for new client accounts for the Rebalance360 service (as a percentage of total assets under management) are as follows: Up to $5,000,000 Up to $1m 0.75% $1m-$2m 0.65% $2m-$5m 0.50% Over $5,000,000 Up to $7.5m 0.50% $7.5m-$15m 0.25% Over $15m 0.12%”

The schedule prices assets in successive bands from zero upward, so a balance is charged each band’s own rate only for the portion of assets that falls within that band; both lower benchmark balances stay entirely inside the first band, while the $2,000,000 balance is split across the first two bands.

Registration

Rebalance, LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #158242, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).

This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity). For the fiduciary-standard question itself, see the fiduciary-status page for Rebalance.

What it costs to leave

Rebalance, LLC’s Form ADV Part 2A states “Clients may terminate the Investment Advisory Agreement at any time by providing five days’ written notice to Rebalance.” Rebalance, LLC names two possible custodians in its brochure, with no single default. Charles Schwab & Co.’s own published fee schedule states “Full transfer (out) of assets: $50 per account.” Fidelity Brokerage Services, LLC discloses no comparable line item (an honest gap).

A dedicated how-to-leave page for Rebalance covers the exit costs in full; the general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.

Methodology. This page was built September 28, 2026, drawing directly on Rebalance’s own current fee brochure, linked above, and a fresh SEC IAPD registration check run the same day. As of September 28, 2026, this site publishes a fiduciary-status page and a minimum-investment page for Rebalance; where the exit-fee page already exists it is linked above and drawn from that already-sourced page. Any fact we could not independently confirm is named as an honest gap rather than presented as verified. Nothing here is personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for reading Rebalance’s own Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. We have not used Rebalance as a client.
