Foster Group Minimum Investment (2026): What It Takes to Open an Account

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Foster Group does not publish a minimum dollar amount to open a CoreWealth account. Instead, it enforces a $2,400-a-year minimum fee for the CoreWealth program (billed $600 a quarter), which becomes the real floor for smaller balances once the percentage schedule alone would charge less than that.

The minimum, in the firm’s own words

Foster Group’s own Form ADV Part 2A brochure states no minimum account size, but does disclose a $2,400-a-year minimum fee for the CoreWealth program (billed $600 a quarter), which becomes the real floor for smaller balances once the percentage schedule alone would charge less than that.

Account balanceAnnual fee
$250,000$2,400
$500,000$4,500
$1,000,000$9,000
$2,000,000$18,000

What else to know

Foster Group states no dollar account-size minimum anywhere in its brochure for any of its four tiers; instead each tier carries its own minimum QUARTERLY FEE: CoreWealth’s is $600 a quarter ($2,400 a year), SignatureWealth’s is $2,500 a quarter ($10,000 a year), and SelectWealth’s is $15,000 a quarter ($60,000 a year). “Advisor, in its sole discretion, may reduce or waive its fee or waive or reduce its aggregate account minimum based upon certain criteria for individual clients,” so the $2,400 floor above is itself waivable, but no unwaived dollar figure below it is ever disclosed.

What a larger account would cost

The minimum is only the entry point. On a $500,000 account, Foster Group’s own published fee schedule runs $4,500 a year; see the full dollar breakdown from Foster Group’s own fee disclosure across several account sizes. Read our full review of Foster Group before you decide.
