Legacy Wealth Partners Review (2026): Fees and SEC Registration

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Legacy Wealth Partners is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #333032, listed as ACTIVE in the SEC’s IAPD firm summary, checked October 25, 2026). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run up to $7,500 a year in Legacy Wealth’s own advisory fee (its stated 1.50% maximum), plus any separate sub-adviser fees. Already a client and thinking about leaving? Budget $50 if Schwab custodies your account. This review covers what its own fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; it does not assess fiduciary status.

What Legacy Wealth Partners’ own fee schedule charges

Legacy Wealth Partners, LLC is the registered adviser, based in Lakewood, Colorado, and it uses the same name in the market. The priced figure is the stated maximum for portfolio management services, and the firm reports individual clients among its client base.

“For portfolio management services, Legacy Wealth charges an annual fee of up to 1.50% of assets under management. Portfolio management fees are payable quarterly, in advance, based on the value of the portfolio at the end of the previous quarter as determined by the custodian.”

Each balance is priced at the stated 1.50% maximum applied to the whole account. This is a ceiling, not a typical or scheduled charge: the brochure says the servicing representative may negotiate the exact investment management fee within the range it discloses, so actual rates can be lower. The brochure discloses no minimum annual dollar fee, so no floor applies. The firm’s financial planning and retirement plan consulting fees are separate and are not used here.

What the same brochure says about fees charged on top of this schedule: “The annual fee paid by a client does not include the sub adviser’s fees.” The table below applies the 1.50% maximum to each balance and does not include any such additional fee.

Account balanceAnnual fee
$250,000$3,750
$500,000$7,500
$1,000,000$15,000
$2,000,000$30,000

Registration

Legacy Wealth Partners, LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #333032, listed as ACTIVE in the SEC’s IAPD firm summary, checked October 25, 2026).

This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity).

What it costs to leave

Legacy Wealth Partners, LLC’s Form ADV Part 2A states “You may terminate the client Agreement upon 30-days’ written notice to our firm.” Legacy Wealth Partners, LLC names two possible custodians in its brochure: it primarily recommends Charles Schwab and Co., Inc., and clients using AssetMark sub-advisory services have the option of AssetMark Trust Company. Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.’s own published fee schedule states “Full transfer (out) of assets $50 per account”. AssetMark Trust Company discloses no comparable line item (an honest gap).

The general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.

Methodology. This page was built September 28, 2026, drawing directly on Legacy Wealth Partners’ own current fee brochure, cited in Sources below, and a fresh SEC IAPD registration check run the same day. Where exit-fee facts are cited, they trace to the named custodian’s own published schedule. Any fact we could not independently confirm is named as an honest gap rather than presented as verified. Nothing here is personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for reading Legacy Wealth Partners’ own Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS.
