Guides › Financial Advisor Fees
Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Lincoln Investment is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #519, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run up to $6,250 a year (the published maximum, which the firm says is negotiable) under its published fee schedule. Already a client and thinking about leaving? Budget $150 at Pershing, or $50 at Schwab, depending on your custodian. This review covers what its own fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; it does not assess fiduciary status or account minimums.

What Lincoln Investment’s own fee schedule charges
The registrant is Lincoln Investment Planning, LLC, which does business as Lincoln Investment and is a dual registrant with a broker-dealer. The priced figure is the stated maximum advisor fee for its individual advisory clients, not a firm-wide standard rate.
“Your Advisor’s fee is negotiable at the Advisor’s sole discretion and to a maximum fee that is established by Lincoln Investment. Your Advisor will share in all or a portion of the Financial Advisor Fee based on their payout schedule with Lincoln Investment. The maximum annual Financial Advisor Fee that your Advisor can charge for his/her services is 1.25% of the assets being advised or managed.”
Lincoln Investment publishes a stated maximum Financial Advisor Fee of 1.25% of assets advised or managed rather than a tiered schedule, so each balance is priced at that maximum. The Financial Advisor Fee itself has no disclosed minimum annual dollar fee (the $100 minimum in the brochure applies to the separate platform fee), so no floor applies to these figures. These are ceiling figures, not typical charges.
What the same brochure says about fees charged on top of this schedule: “If you select the Client Custom Portfolios Program available on the Lincoln Signature Solutions platform, in addition to the Financial Advisor Fee, you will pay an annual, asset-based Platform Fee depending upon your account type, as outlined in the tables below.” The table below is the firm’s own advisory fee schedule and does not include any such additional fee.
| Account balance | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 | $3,125 |
| $500,000 | $6,250 |
| $1,000,000 | $12,500 |
| $2,000,000 | $25,000 |
These figures come directly from Lincoln Investment’s own current fee brochure, cited in Sources below.
Registration
Lincoln Investment Planning, LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #519, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).
This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity).
What it costs to leave
Lincoln Investment Planning, LLC’s Form ADV Part 2A states “An investor may terminate Lincoln Investment’s or its Advisor’s advisory services at any time upon written notice to us.” Lincoln Investment Planning, LLC names three possible custodians in its brochure, with no single default. Pershing Advisor Solutions LLC’s own published fee schedule states “Account Termination” Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.’s own published fee schedule states “Full transfer (out) of assets” Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC / National Financial Services LLC discloses no comparable line item (an honest gap).
The general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.

Methodology. This page was built September 28, 2026, drawing directly on Lincoln Investment’s own current fee brochure, cited in Sources below, and a fresh SEC IAPD registration check run the same day. Where exit-fee facts are cited, they trace to the named custodian’s own published schedule. Any fact we could not independently confirm is named as an honest gap rather than presented as verified. Nothing here is personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for reading Lincoln Investment’s own Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS.
