Balentine Review (2026): Fees and SEC Registration

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Balentine is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #152511, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run $6,250 a year under its published fee schedule. This review covers what its fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; this firm also has a fiduciary-status page and minimum-investment page on this site.

What Balentine’s own fee schedule charges

Balentine’s headline ‘General Fee Schedule’ (First $5M @ 1.00% down to 0.15% over $250M) does not apply to the four target balances because Balentine’s stated account minimum for actively managed assets is $5,000,000; the document provides a separate below-minimum accommodation schedule (First $2.5M @ 1.25%, Next $2.5M @ 0.75%), used here since it is the schedule that actually applies at $250k-$2M.

“In certain circumstances, Balentine may, in its sole discretion, consider clients below $5,000,000 as follows: Assets Fee Schedule First $2.5 Million 1.25% Next $2.5 Million 0.75%”

Balentine’s headline ‘General Fee Schedule’ (1.00% first $5,000,000) is gated behind the firm’s stated $5,000,000 account minimum for actively managed assets; all four benchmark balances fall below that minimum. The brochure provides a separate, explicit below-minimum accommodation schedule (First $2,500,000 at 1.25%, marginal) for clients Balentine agrees to serve below $5,000,000 ‘in its sole discretion,’ which is the schedule priced here since it is the one that actually applies at these balances. No dollar minimum fee is stated for this sub-minimum schedule.

Registration

Balentine LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #152511, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).

This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity). For the fiduciary-standard question itself, see the fiduciary-status page for Balentine.

What it costs to leave

Balentine does not yet have a dedicated exit-fee page on this site. The general mechanics of switching financial advisors and a dated termination letter apply regardless of firm.

Methodology. This page was built September 28, 2026, drawing directly on Balentine’s own current fee brochure, linked above, and a fresh SEC IAPD registration check run the same day. As of September 28, 2026, this site publishes a fiduciary-status page and a minimum-investment page for Balentine; where the exit-fee page already exists it is linked above and drawn from that already-sourced page. Any fact we could not independently confirm is named as an honest gap rather than presented as verified. Nothing here is personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for reading Balentine’s own Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. We have not used Balentine as a client.
