Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Frost Investment Services is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #286129, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run $4,900 a year under its published fee schedule. Already a client and thinking about leaving? Budget $75 for a full account transfer, or $125 to close an IRA, per Frost’s own published fee schedule. This review covers what its fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; this firm also has a fiduciary-status page and minimum-investment page on this site.

What Frost Investment Services’ own fee schedule charges
Frost Investment Services offers several advisory programs with different account minimums; the figures here price its Fund Strategist Portfolio Program and Optimum Asset Allocation Strategy (both $25,000 account minimum), which combine an Annual Advisory Program Fee with a separate Portfolio Strategy Fee. Frost’s Unified Managed Accounts Program (a $250,000 minimum) instead charges 1.25%/1.10%/1.00%/0.85% with no separate portfolio strategy fee. This is a different, not-cheaper, schedule not priced here.
“FUND STRATEGIST PORTFOLIO PROGRAM. PROGRAM MINIMUM IS $25,000. Annual Advisory Program Fee: 0.80% on the first $5,000,000; 0.60% on the next $5,000,000; 0.50% over $10,000,000. Portfolio Strategy Fee: 0.18% on the first $5,000,000; 0.14% on the next $5,000,000; 0.10% over $10,000,000.”
Frost’s own fee schedule combines two marginal, stacked components for this program: the Annual Advisory Program Fee and the Portfolio Strategy Fee, both charged on the same brackets, for a combined marginal rate of 0.98% on the first $5,000,000; dollar_at = balance x 0.0098 at each of the four benchmark balances shown, since all four fall within the first $5,000,000 bracket. The Program’s own $25,000 account minimum is an eligibility threshold, not a fee floor.
| Account balance | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 | $2,450 |
| $500,000 | $4,900 |
| $1,000,000 | $9,800 |
| $2,000,000 | $19,600 |

Registration
Frost Investment Services, LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #286129, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).
This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity). For the fiduciary-standard question itself, see the fiduciary-status page for Frost Investment Services.
What it costs to leave
Frost Investment Services, LLC’s Form ADV Part 2A lets either party terminate without penalty, with any prepaid service fees refunded. FIS names National Financial Services LLC (‘NFS’), an unaffiliated clearing broker-dealer, as its custodian. Frost’s own published fee schedule states a $75 full account transfer fee, plus a separate $125 IRA termination fee, confirmed independently in two separate Frost documents.

Methodology. This page was built September 28, 2026, drawing directly on Frost Investment Services’ own current fee brochure, linked above, and a fresh SEC IAPD registration check run the same day. As of September 28, 2026, this site publishes a fiduciary-status page and a minimum-investment page for Frost Investment Services; where the exit-fee page already exists it is linked above and drawn from that already-sourced page. Any fact we could not independently confirm is named as an honest gap rather than presented as verified. Nothing here is personalized financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for reading Frost Investment Services’ own Form ADV Part 2A and Form CRS. We have not used Frost Investment Services as a client. Frost Investment Services did not pay for, review, or influence this content.
