Guides › Financial Advisor Fees
Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Wescott Financial Advisory Group is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #105989, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD). Per its own current fee brochure, a $500,000 account would run $25,000 a year under its published fee schedule. Already a client and thinking about leaving? Budget $50 if Schwab custodies your account; Wescott states plainly it keeps none of it. This review covers what its fee brochure and current SEC registration confirm today; this firm also has a fiduciary-status page and minimum-investment page on this site.

What Wescott Financial Advisory Group’s own fee schedule charges
Wescott’s Wealth Management Program states a $2,000,000 minimum account size, negotiable under certain circumstances; Wescott separately operates other fee schedules for other services (Wescott Trust Services, Selection of Other Advisors third-party referrals) not used on this page, which cites the standard Wealth Management Program fee schedule.
“The annual Wealth Management Program services advisory fee is calculated as a percentage of assets under management (“AUM”) pursuant to a graduated Standard Fee Schedule, as disclosed in and governed by the Client’s executed Advisory Agreement. The minimum account size is $2,000,000, which is negotiable under certain circumstances. However, Clients may remain subject to a minimum annual advisory fee of $25,000.”
Wescott’s Wealth Management Program fee schedule begins at 1.25% for the Minimum Requirement bracket ($2,000,000), stepping down at higher balances, with a stated $25,000 minimum annual advisory fee. The schedule’s own 1.25% first-bracket rate at $250,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000 (computed at $3,125 / $6,250 / $12,500) is below the $25,000 floor, so the floor applies at each; at $2,000,000 the full balance still sits within that first bracket and 2,000,000 x 0.0125 = $25,000 exactly matches the floor. So all four balances shown come out to the same $25,000 figure, a direct consequence of the firm’s $25,000 minimum fee dominating up through its own $2,000,000 pricing breakpoint, not a data error.
| Account balance | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 | $25,000 |
| $500,000 | $25,000 |
| $1,000,000 | $25,000 |
| $2,000,000 | $25,000 |

Registration
Wescott Financial Advisory Group, LLC is registered with the SEC as an investment adviser (CRD #105989, confirmed ACTIVE this session via SEC IAPD).
This is a registration confirmation only, not a fiduciary-standard verdict (a registered investment adviser can still be a dual registrant with a broker-dealer, which changes which standard applies in each capacity). For the fiduciary-standard question itself, see the fiduciary-status page for Wescott Financial Advisory Group.
What it costs to leave
Wescott Financial Advisory Group, LLC’s Form ADV Part 2A states plainly that any outgoing account transfer or termination fee “is not charged or retained by Wescott”: it is entirely a custodian charge. Wescott names four preferred custodians, including Schwab, whose standard outgoing-transfer fee is $50; the others disclose no comparable fee figure (an honest gap).
