Is Truist Wealth a fiduciary?

Truist Advisory Services, Inc. is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) as an investment adviser.

“In an investment advisory account, we serve as a fiduciary in various types of programs described in our Brochures.”

You will be charged commissions and other fees per transaction. The more transactions in your account, the more commissions you incur. You pay TIS a fee every time you buy or sell an investment.

The minimum to open an account

“AMC Program Accounts established and not funded at the minimum funding requirement within 90 days may be reclassified as standard unmanaged full-service commission based TIS brokerage accounts. $10,000 to $100,000 for AMC Advise / AMC Allocation Plus / AMC Fund Select Tactical / AMC Pinnacle / AMC Premier (incl. Envestnet Sentry), depending on strategy. See the full minimum-investment breakdown, including what that minimum would cost per year, on Truist Wealth’s minimum investment page.

What it costs to leave

Truist Investment Services prices a full account transfer out at $125 and lists an identically priced but separate $125 IRA termination fee; the $60 annual IRA maintenance fee is waived outright for households holding $500,000 or more in brokerage assets.
