SouthState Private Capital Management Minimum Investment (2026): What It Takes to Open an Account

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: $1,000,000 for a Private Capital Management account. SouthState Private Capital Management’s own Form ADV Part 2A brochure states this figure directly, though the firm can waive or reduce it at its own discretion. At that minimum, SouthState Private Capital Management’s own published fee schedule works out to $10,000 a year.

The minimum, in the firm’s own words

“In certain cases, SSPCM requires a $1 million minimum in manageable assets to start or maintain an account. At SSPCM’s discretion, the Firm will approve exceptions to these minimum asset requirements.”

On waivability: “At SSPCM’s discretion, the Firm will approve exceptions to these minimum asset requirements.”

What else to know

SSPCM also discloses that minimum FEES (a separate figure from the account-size minimum above) “are determined on a client-by-client basis” and, where they apply, are “disclosed directly to clients” in the advisory agreement, and no blanket dollar minimum fee is printed in the brochure itself, so no minimum_fee_floor is recorded.

What a larger account would cost

The minimum is only the entry point. On a $500,000 account, SouthState Private Capital Management’s own published fee schedule runs $5,000 a year; see the full dollar breakdown from SouthState Private Capital Management’s own fee disclosure across several account sizes.
