Guides › Financial Advisor Fees
Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Sand Hill Global Advisors discloses a maximum, individually negotiated rate of 1.0% in its Form ADV Part 2A (March 30, 2026). Converted to dollars, that runs $5,000 a year on a $500,000 account; see the full table below for $250,000, $1 million and $2 million.
The published numbers
From the Form ADV Part 2A (March 30, 2026): “Generally, the Wealth Management Fee charged by SHGA varies, ranging up to 1% of a Client’s AUM, and dependent upon the services provided, could be comprised of a mix of a tiered fee schedule and flat fee schedule(s).”
Note: CRD 111295 independently re-verified ACTIVE/isSECRegistered=Y, SEC-approved since 8/31/2000. SHGA managed $4,390,631,813 in client assets as of December 31, 2025. The brochure states a standard $2,500,000 aggregate account minimum, waivable at SHGA’s discretion, and describes each client’s actual rate/tier schedule as individually negotiated and set out in that client’s own Wealth Management Agreement rather than published; the only firm-wide number stated in Item 5 is the 1% ceiling, which is used here.
The published maximum: 1.0% per year.
What you would pay
| Account balance | Annual fee (dollars) | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|
| $250,000 | $2,500 | 1.00% |
| $500,000 | $5,000 | 1.00% |
| $1,000,000 | $10,000 | 1.00% |
| $2,000,000 | $20,000 | 1.00% |
SHGA discloses only a single ceiling of up to 1% of AUM in Item 5 rather than a published tier table, so each benchmark balance is shown at the straight 1% ceiling rate; SHGA states that actual client rates are individually negotiated and may run lower.
How this compares
Our benchmark of published adviser fee schedules puts the weighted median annual cost near $2,000 to $2,500 on $250,000 (the benchmark). At $500,000, Sand Hill Global Advisors’s own published maximum rate runs up to $5,000 a year.
