RBC Wealth Management Fees (2026): What You Pay in Dollars at $250k, $500k, $1M

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 18, 2026. Quick answer: RBC Wealth Management discloses a maximum, individually negotiated rate of 2.5% in its RBC Advisory Programs Disclosure Document (Form ADV, Part 2A Appendix 1, Wrap Fee Programs Brochure, RBC Wealth Management, a division of RBC Capital Markets, LLC) (June 30, 2026). Converted to dollars, that runs $12,500 a year on a $500,000 account; see the full table below for $250,000, $1 million and $2 million.

The published numbers

From the RBC Advisory Programs Disclosure Document (Form ADV, Part 2A Appendix 1, Wrap Fee Programs Brochure, RBC Wealth Management, a division of RBC Capital Markets, LLC) (June 30, 2026): “RBC WM Advice Fee. In all Programs, you will pay us an “RBC WM Advice Fee” which is an asset-based “wrap” fee for the services we and your Financial Advisors provide in the Programs. … Generally, the RBC WM Advice Fee is expressed as a schedule that applies different rates to specified asset levels, or breakpoints at which the percentage of the value of the managed assets paid goes down as the asset level increases. … Discounts, if any, are negotiated separately for each breakpoint. The maximum annual rate for the RBC WM Advice Fee is 2.50%.”

The published maximum: 2.5% per year.

What you would pay

Account balanceAnnual fee (dollars)Effective rate
$250,000$6,2502.50%
$500,000$12,5002.50%
$1,000,000$25,0002.50%
$2,000,000$50,0002.50%

RBC’s own brochure states its Advice Fee is a declining breakpoint schedule but does not publish the actual dollar breakpoints or per-bracket rates anywhere in the ADV or in RBC’s separately published public ‘Schedule of Fees’ (https://www.rbcwealthmanagement.com/assets/wp-content/uploads/documents/legal/schedule-of-fees-updated.pdf, also fetched and reviewed – it only cross-references the ADV for the wrap-fee numbers). The only concrete, auditable number in any RBC primary source is the disclosed ceiling: ‘the maximum annual rate for the RBC WM Advice Fee is 2.50%’ (the brochure separately discloses a 3.0% ceiling for the ‘total Program Fee’ inclusive of any third-party Investment Manager/Overlay/Model Provider fees, which was not used here since it is not the core wrap fee). Treated as fee_type ceiling at 2.50%: dollar_at = balance x 0.025.

How this compares

Our benchmark of published adviser fee schedules puts the weighted median annual cost near $2,000 to $2,500 on $250,000 (the benchmark). At $500,000, RBC Wealth Management’s own published maximum rate runs up to $12,500 a year.
