Is Kingswood Wealth Advisors a Fiduciary? What Its Own Form CRS Says (2026)

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Yes, on your advisory account. Kingswood Wealth Advisors, LLC (the SEC-registered investment adviser this page and its fee page are about) is registered with the SEC only as an investment adviser, so the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 requires it to act as your fiduciary there. Its Form CRS is a combined document shared with an affiliated broker-dealer, Kingswood Capital Partners, LLC, which is why its own legal-obligations language reads: “When we provide you with a recommendation as a broker-dealer or act as your investment adviser, we have to act in your best interest and not put our interest ahead of yours.” That sentence covers the whole Kingswood family; brokerage services, where only Regulation Best Interest applies, are provided through the separate Kingswood Capital Partners, LLC entity, not through Kingswood Wealth Advisors, LLC itself.

How it’s registered

From Form CRS, Customer Relationship Summary, Kingswood Wealth Advisors (July 17, 2024): “KCP and KWA (collective, “Kingswood”, “we”, “us”), affiliated entities, are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as both a broker-dealer and an investment adviser, respectively.”

The standard of conduct, in its own words

“When we provide you with a recommendation as a broker-dealer or act as your investment adviser, we have to act in your best interest and not put our interest ahead of yours.”

On commissions: “Commissions, markups and markdowns earned in brokerage accounts, which vary by product.”

What this means for what you pay

Fiduciary status is one input, not the whole picture. Kingswood Wealth Advisors discloses a published fee that runs up to $12,500 a year on a $500,000 account (the published maximum); see the full dollar breakdown from Kingswood Wealth Advisors’ own fee disclosure before deciding whether the standard of conduct here changes your answer.

If the answer above changes your mind about staying, read the general mechanics of switching financial advisors, or use a dated termination letter once you decide.
