What Fifth Third Wealth Advisors’ own fee schedule charges
“Tiered Fee Schedules: Accounts Holding Equity, Cash and Mixed Accounts: Assets $5 million or less 1.00% annual fee. Assets over $5 million 0.60% annual fee. Minimum Annual Fee $7,500. Accounts below $750,000 that are charged the minimum fee are assessed a fee as a percentage of their assets that is greater than the highest rate tier of the published fee schedule.”
The published rate is 1.00% a year on assets of $5 million or less, but FTWA’s own brochure sets a $7,500 minimum annual fee, which binds below $750,000: max(balance x 0.01, 7500). At $250,000 and $500,000 the $7,500 floor applies (1% of the balance would be $2,500 and $5,000, both below the floor); at $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 the 1% rate exceeds the floor and applies directly.
| Account balance | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| $250,000 | $7,500 |
| $500,000 | $7,500 |
| $1,000,000 | $10,000 |
| $2,000,000 | $20,000 |

Is Fifth Third Wealth Advisors a fiduciary?
Fifth Third Wealth Advisors LLC (“FTWA”, “we”, “us” or “our) is an investment adviser registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and ultimately owned by Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ: FITB) (“Bank”).
“When we act as your investment adviser, we must act in your best interest and not put our interest ahead of yours.”
Our financial professionals are compensated through salaries and/or a portion of revenue we receive for the advisory services we provide. The portion paid to your financial professional generally does not vary based on the type of investments that are recommended. This creates a conflict of interest because it gives our financial professionals an incentive to encourage you to invest more assets so that they qualify for increased compensation.
