The published numbers
From the Form ADV Part 2A (March 19, 2026): “The annual Wealth Management fee is billed in advance and is based on a percentage of the investable assets according to the following schedule: First $500,000 ………….…..1.25% Next $1,500,000 ……………1.00% Next $3,000,000 ……………0.75% Next $5,000,000 ……………0.50% Next $10,000,000 …….…….0.25%”
Note: CRD 109698 was confirmed ACTIVE through a live SEC IAPD lookup on September 28, 2026, with firmId matching the CRD. IAPD lists the firm as Evensky & Katz/Foldes Wealth Management, with former names including Evensky & Katz, LLC and Evensky, Brown & Katz; the brochure calls itself Evensky & Katz LLC. The firm reported about $3.21 billion in regulatory assets under management across 5,801 accounts. The priced schedule is the Wealth Management fee, which the brochure says also applies to its Investment Advisory Agreement. The brochure sets a $1,000,000 minimum portfolio size for Wealth Management, negotiable and with smaller accounts allowed where more assets are expected, and this is an account-size minimum rather than a minimum annual dollar fee. The brochure also says fees are negotiable under special circumstances.
- $0-$500,000: 1.25%
- $500,001-$2,000,000: 1.00%
- $2,000,001-$5,000,000: 0.75%

What you would pay
| Account balance | Annual fee (dollars) | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|
| $250,000 | $3,125 | 1.25% |
| $500,000 | $6,250 | 1.25% |
| $1,000,000 | $11,250 | 1.13% |
| $2,000,000 | $21,250 | 1.06% |
The schedule is applied bracket by bracket. At $250,000 and $500,000 the whole balance falls within the first bracket at 1.25 percent. At $1,000,000 the first $500,000 is charged at 1.25 percent and the remaining $500,000 at 1.00 percent. At $2,000,000 the first $500,000 is charged at 1.25 percent and the next $1,500,000 at 1.00 percent, filling the second bracket exactly. The brochure states no dollar amount for a minimum annual fee on the Wealth Management schedule (it refers only to EKF’s discretion to waive its minimum fee), so no floor is applied here; balances below the firm’s $1,000,000 minimum portfolio size are shown at the same schedule for comparison only.
