The published numbers
From the Form ADV Part 2A (February 2026): “Up to $1,000,000 1.00% 0.25% Next $2,000,000 (up to $3,000,000) 0.75% 0.1875% Next $2,000,000 (up to $5,000,000) 0.55% 0.1375% Next $5,000,000 (up to $10,000,000) 0.35% 0.0875% Over $10,000,000 0.25% 0.0625%”
Note: CRD 105653 was confirmed ACTIVE and SEC registered through a live SEC IAPD lookup on September 28, 2026. Bedel Financial Consulting, Inc. is the registered adviser, and the brochure refers to it as BFC. The firm reports about $2.92 billion in regulatory assets under management. The priced figure is the standard investment advisory account schedule, which covers individual clients including high net worth individuals.
- $0-$1,000,000: 1.00%
- $1,000,001-$3,000,000: 0.75%
- $3,000,001-$5,000,000: 0.55%
- $5,000,001-$10,000,000: 0.35%
- $10,000,001 and above: 0.25%
The schedule is the firm’s declining annual fee for investment advisory accounts, paid quarterly in advance. The brochure says a client’s own wealth management agreement sets the actual fee schedule. Custodian fees, brokerage and other transaction costs, and the expenses of mutual funds are separate. If the firm recommends separately managed accounts or 529 accounts, the third-party managers of those accounts also charge a fee in addition to the firm’s management fee. Over-the-counter trades may carry additional transaction fees. Financial planning is a separate one-time project fee that the brochure says typically runs $1,000 to $2,500.
What you would pay
| Account balance | Annual fee (dollars) | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|
| $250,000 | $2,500 | 1.00% |
| $500,000 | $5,000 | 1.00% |
| $1,000,000 | $10,000 | 1.00% |
| $2,000,000 | $17,500 | 0.88% |
Each balance is priced by stacking the bands, and the brochure confirms this reading by stating that the blended annual rate for a $2,000,000 portfolio is 0.875%. The brochure says that in certain cases a minimum annual fee of $5,000 applies, depending on services, investments and complexity, and that the firm may waive or adjust it. Because that floor applies only in certain cases and not to every client, the figures below show the calculated schedule fee with no floor. At $250,000 the calculated fee is below the $5,000 minimum, so a client subject to it would pay more. The actual fee is set in the client’s agreement.
How this compares
Our benchmark of published adviser fee schedules puts the weighted median annual cost near $2,000 to $2,500 on $250,000 (the benchmark). At $500,000, Bedel Financial Consulting’s own published rate runs $5,000 a year.
