Acorns Fees (2026): What You Pay in Dollars at $250k, $500k, $1M

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 18, 2026. Quick answer: Acorns discloses a flat monthly subscription fee (not a percentage of assets), starting at $4.00/month ($48.00/year) in its Acorns Advisers, LLC Wrap Fee Program Brochure (August 3, 2026). Converted to dollars, that runs $48 regardless of account balance (it is a flat subscription, not a percentage of assets); see the full table below for $250,000, $1 million and $2 million.

The published numbers

From the Acorns Advisers, LLC Wrap Fee Program Brochure (August 3, 2026): “Acorns currently offers three Subscription Fee Plans, all of which include the Acorns Grow Program Fee and the Acorns Advisory Fee. Acorns “Bronze” (formerly referred to as “Personal”), a $3 monthly Subscription Fee Plan for customers signing up on or before August 16, 2026 and a $4 monthly Subscription Fee Plan for customers signing up on or after August 17, 2026 … Acorns “Silver” (formerly referred to as “Personal Plus”), a $6 monthly Subscription Fee Plan for customers signing up on or before August 16, 2026 and an $8 monthly Subscription Fee Plan for customers signing up on or after August 17, 2026 … Acorns “Gold” (formerly referred to as “Premium”), a $12 monthly Subscription Fee Plan.”

Acorns is a wrap-fee robo-advisory program billed as a flat monthly Subscription Fee, not a percentage of assets, so the annual dollar figure is identical at every balance shown. Three tiers exist (Bronze/Silver/Gold) that differ by which non-advisory features (banking, custom portfolios, etc.) are bundled in, not by account balance; the headline dollar_at uses the base Bronze tier’s current (post-8/17/2026) rate of $4/month x 12 = $48/year, since Bronze is the entry tier that provides the core Acorns Invest advisory service. Silver ($8/mo = $96/yr) and Gold ($12/mo = $144/yr) are the two higher tiers and are listed in full under ‘tiers’. Because the dollar cost does not scale with assets, the effective percentage rate falls sharply as balance rises (e.g. Bronze’s $48/year is 19.2% of a $250 balance but 0.0024% of a $2,000,000 balance) – this is the expected, real consequence of a flat-fee model and is not an error.

How this compares

Our benchmark of published adviser fee schedules puts the weighted median annual cost near $2,000 to $2,500 on $250,000 (the benchmark). At $500,000, Acorns’s own published rate runs $48 a year.
