The published numbers
From the Form ADV Part 2A (March 31, 2026): “Fees are generally negotiable and may vary from the schedule listed below. Vista’s standard fee schedule is as follows: Annual Fee .90% of the first $2,000,000 .75% of the next $3,000,000 .60% of the next $5,000,000 .45% of the next $10,000,000 .30% of the amount over $20,000,000”
Note: CRD 114913 was confirmed ACTIVE and SEC registered through a live SEC IAPD lookup on September 28, 2026. Vista Capital Partners, Inc. is the registered adviser, a Portland, Oregon firm, and the SEC record lists no other name. The firm reports about $3.22 billion in regulatory assets under management. The priced figure is the standard schedule, which applies to individuals, trusts, estates and other non-institutional clients. The separate Institutional Client schedule is not used.
- $0-$2,000,000: 0.90%
- $2,000,001-$5,000,000: 0.75%
- $5,000,001-$10,000,000: 0.60%
- $10,000,001-$20,000,000: 0.45%
- $20,000,001 and above: 0.30%
The priced figure is the advisory fee only. The brochure says Vista’s fees are exclusive of brokerage commissions, transaction fees and related costs, and that clients may incur custodian and broker charges, fees charged by third-party managers, custodial fees, deferred sales charges, odd-lot differentials, transfer taxes, wire and electronic fund fees, and the internal management fees of mutual funds and ETFs. It says those charges are in addition to Vista’s fee and that Vista receives no part of them. Vista includes the entire market value of any margined assets when computing its fee. Financial planning is generally provided within the advisory fee, with a separate planning fee possible for special projects or larger asset levels.
What you would pay
| Account balance | Annual fee (dollars) | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|
| $250,000 | $2,250 | 0.90% |
| $500,000 | $4,500 | 0.90% |
| $1,000,000 | $9,000 | 0.90% |
| $2,000,000 | $18,000 | 0.90% |
The schedule is worded as first, next and over amounts, so each rate is applied only to the band it covers, with the bands stacked. The brochure says Vista generally requires a minimum of $2 million of assets to begin an engagement but may waive minimum asset and minimum fee levels, so the $250,000 and $500,000 rows show what the schedule would produce rather than a typical engagement size. The brochure discloses no minimum annual dollar fee, so no floor applies. Fees are generally negotiable and may vary from the schedule, so it is the firm’s standard rather than a guaranteed charge.
