Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Carret Asset Management discloses a maximum, individually negotiated rate of 1.25% in its Form ADV Part 2A (March 31, 2026). Converted to dollars, that runs $6,250 a year on a $500,000 account; see the full table below for $250,000, $1 million and $2 million.

The published numbers

From the Form ADV Part 2A (March 31, 2026): “Registrant’s fee is negotiable and will not exceed 1.25% under any circumstances.”

Note: CRD 131445 was confirmed ACTIVE and SEC registered through a live SEC IAPD lookup on September 28, 2026. IAPD lists the firm as Carret Asset Management, LLC. The firm reported about $3.46 billion in discretionary regulatory assets under management. The priced ceiling is the firm’s advisory fee for individual clients; the brochure states it does not require a minimum amount to open an account.

The published maximum: 1.25% per year (The priced figure is the stated 1.25% maximum; the brochure gives no tiered schedule, and the firm may charge less or a flat fee. Clients in the firm’s optional Leveraged Opportunity Strategy pay a performance-based fee in addition to the asset-based fee, which is not reflected below. Custodian, fund and other third-party costs are separate.).
