Guides › Financial Advisor Fees
Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Summit Financial discloses a maximum, individually negotiated rate of 1.5% in its Form ADV Part 2A (September 3, 2026). Converted to dollars, that runs $7,500 a year on a $500,000 account; see the full table below for $250,000, $1 million and $2 million.
The published numbers
From the Form ADV Part 2A (September 3, 2026): “The maximum advisory fee for the programs is 1.50%, exclusive of the program fee, sub- advisory fees, third-party manager fees, platform fees, and fees not covered by a Wrap Program that are charged by the Qualified Custodian.”
Note: CRD 299322 was confirmed ACTIVE and SEC registered through a live SEC IAPD lookup on September 28, 2026. Summit Financial, LLC is a national independent advisory firm whose individual advisors operate under many d/b/a names; it is distinct from the terminated Summit Financial (CRD 109280) and from Summit Financial Group. The firm reports about $26.3 billion in advisory assets. The priced figure is the maximum advisory fee that applies across its programs for individual clients; existing clients on legacy schedules may pay different amounts.
The published maximum: 1.5% per year (The priced figure is the 1.50% maximum advisory fee only. The brochure states that this maximum is exclusive of the program fee, sub-advisory fees, third-party manager fees, platform fees, and custodian charges not covered by a wrap program. In Summit’s wrap programs a separate tiered program fee is charged on top, in the wrap brochure 0.15% on household assets up to $3,000,000 for most programs (0.08% for the FMA and APM programs) plus an annual $120 account maintenance charge, and the Pontera platform adds 0.30% a year. None of those additional charges are reflected in the figures below.).
What you would pay
| Account balance | Annual fee (dollars) | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|
| $250,000 | $3,750 | 1.50% |
| $500,000 | $7,500 | 1.50% |
| $1,000,000 | $15,000 | 1.50% |
| $2,000,000 | $30,000 | 1.50% |
Summit publishes a maximum advisory fee of 1.50% of assets instead of a tiered schedule, so each balance is priced at that maximum. The brochure discloses no minimum annual dollar fee on the advisory fee, so no floor applies. These are ceiling figures for the advisory component only, not typical or all-in charges.
How this compares
Our benchmark of published adviser fee schedules puts the weighted median annual cost near $2,000 to $2,500 on $250,000 (the benchmark). At $500,000, Summit Financial’s own published maximum rate runs up to $7,500 a year.
