Synovus Securities Fees (2026): What You Pay in Dollars at $250k, $500k, $1M

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Synovus Securities discloses a tiered schedule starting at 1.54% in its Synovus Securities, Inc. Disclosure Brochure (January 28, 2026). Converted to dollars, that runs $7,700 a year on a $500,000 account; see the full table below for $250,000, $1 million and $2 million.

The published numbers

From the Synovus Securities, Inc. Disclosure Brochure (January 28, 2026): “SYNOVUS INVESTMENT STRATEGIES-ADVISOR DIRECTED PROGRAM. Asset Range / Amount paid to SSI / Amount paid to Envestnet: first $500,000 1.46% / 0.08%; next $500,000 1.36% / 0.08%; next $1,000,000 1.26% / 0.08%; Amount over $2,000,000 1.16% / 0.08%. Account Minimum $100,000. In addition to the amount paid to SSI for advisory services, clients also pay to SSI the portfolio construction fee which is reflected in the column titled Amount paid to SSI… the portion of a client’s total fee paid to, and retained by SSI, is more than other Strategist programs since SSI does not have to pay a portion of the client fees to another subadviser.”

Note: The roster candidate for this slot was Synovus Trust Company, N.A. (d/b/a Globalt Investments), CRD 168405. Its SEC investment-adviser registration was Terminated effective 12/11/2023 after Globalt Investments separated from Synovus in October 2023 to become an independent firm. Synovus’s own current, ACTIVE SEC-registered investment-advisory entity is Synovus Securities, Inc. (CRD 14023), whose own Advisor Directed Program is priced here because it is managed directly by Synovus Securities without a variable third-party subadviser fee; Synovus Securities’ other Strategist/SMA programs layer an additional 0.13%-1.02% subadviser fee that varies by which subadviser is chosen and so are not priced here to avoid guessing.

  • First $500,000 (1.46% advisory + 0.08% platform): 1.54%
  • Next $500,000 (1.36% advisory + 0.08% platform): 1.44%
  • Next $1,000,000 (1.26% advisory + 0.08% platform): 1.34%
  • Over $2,000,000 (1.16% advisory + 0.08% platform): 1.24%

What you would pay

Account balanceAnnual fee (dollars)Effective rate
$250,000$3,8501.54%
$500,000$7,7001.54%
$1,000,000$14,9001.49%
$2,000,000$28,3001.42%

Synovus Securities’ Advisor Directed Program combines a marginal SSI advisory rate (1.46%/1.36%/1.26%/1.16% across the four brackets) with a flat 0.08% Envestnet platform fee, for combined marginal rates of 1.54%/1.44%/1.34%/1.24%; dollar_at is the marginal-bracket sum at each of the four balances (e.g. $1,000,000 = 500,000 x 0.0154 + 500,000 x 0.0144 = 7,700 + 7,200 = 14,900). The Program’s own stated $100,000 account minimum is an eligibility threshold, not a fee floor, so no minimum-fee adjustment applies.

How this compares
