What M1 Finance’s own fee schedule charges

“The Firm charges an annual advisory fee based on the average daily balance of assets in the client’s advisory brokerage account or accounts maintained through M1 Finance LLC. The annual advisory fee charged to a client’s account will not exceed 0.20% per year.”

The fee is a single ceiling rate of 0.20% per year on the average daily balance, with no breakpoints, so dollar_at is simply balance times 0.002 at each of the four balances (for example, $1,000,000 x 0.002 = $2,000). The brochure notes M1 Holdings additionally charges a separate $3.00 monthly platform fee (waived above a $10,000 balance) that is not part of the AUM-based advisory fee and is not included in these figures.

Account balanceAnnual fee
$250,000$500
$500,000$1,000
$1,000,000$2,000
$2,000,000$4,000
