Five-year cost of ownership: At least $520 over five years — one or more components (commonly the franchise/minimum tax) is unverified, so treat this as a floor, not a total. Publication cost is excluded from this figure — it’s county-driven where it applies, not state-driven, so a single number would be wrong for most filers.

The trap worth knowing before you file

Statute-tier: the full text of C.G.S. ch. 613a was downloaded and sections 34-243u and 34-247k read verbatim. Access note: cga.ct.gov threw a TLS chain error (‘unable to verify the first certificate’, the same behaviour recorded for Vermont) but served the chapter fine when that check was bypassed. business.ct.gov fee pages 404, so no agency schedule was available to compare against the statute.

If the LLC already exists somewhere else

Everything above prices forming a new Connecticut LLC. A company that already exists in another state does not have to be dissolved and re-formed: Connecticut takes it in as the same legal entity by the route its own code captions domestication, Conn. Gen. Stat. § 34-641(c), and the entity-law filing fee for it is $100 — a separate filing from the formation costs above. Going the other way, a Connecticut LLC may leave for another US state under Conn. Gen. Stat. § 34-641(b). Either way the move needs both ends to allow it — the state being left as well as the state being joined — which is where most published advice goes wrong.

What letting it lapse costs in Connecticut. The catch-up bill is only half the story — in Connecticut no deadline at all — but the statute swaps the clock for a governance test, so scattered members are the real obstacle. The figures, and the statute they come from, are on reinstating a Connecticut LLC.
