Osaic Minimum Investment (2026): What It Takes to Open an Account

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 18, 2026. Quick answer: Osaic does not publish a minimum dollar amount to open an Ally Account. Instead, it enforces a $30-a-year minimum service fee (or 0.15% of account assets annually, whichever is greater), which becomes the real floor for smaller balances once the percentage schedule alone would charge less than that.

The minimum, in the firm’s own words

“The Ally Account has no minimum account size and advisory fees are negotiable. … The Firm generally does not impose any requirements for opening or maintaining an account, such as a minimum account size. We will charge a minimum service fee which is the greater of $30 or up to 15 basis points (.15%) annually assessed to the advisor per account.”

$250,000$6,250
$500,000$12,500
$1,000,000$25,000
$2,000,000$50,000

What else to know

Osaic’s brochure states plainly there is no minimum account size to open an Ally Account. The $30 figure is a minimum annual service fee charged to the advisor per account, applied once an account is already open, not an account-opening threshold.

What a larger account would cost

The minimum is only the entry point. On a $500,000 account, Osaic’s own published fee schedule runs up to $12,500 a year (the published maximum, which the firm says is negotiable); see the full dollar breakdown from Osaic’s own fee disclosure across several account sizes.
