Updated September 4, 2026. Quick answer: Kentucky requires a annual report; Jan 1 – June 30 annually (first report due in that window of the year following formation).
If you’d rather not track this yourself
Bizee’s registered-agent and compliance service includes a due-date reminder and a filing option for Kentucky’s report. State filing fees are separate.
Bizee’s BBB rating, verified directly against BBB’s own listing on September 2, 2026: a C, not accredited. BBB’s own finding: the business “has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints,” with 83 complaints filed. Most complaints we found described difficulty canceling recurring services and strict refund policies, worth knowing before you hand over a card for the year-two renewal. Check BBB’s current listing yourself before you buy; a rating we didn’t just verify is worse than none.

Whether Kentucky requires one, and how often
Kentucky requires LLCs to file an annual report every year. $15.
When it’s due
Jan 1 – June 30 annually (first report due in that window of the year following formation). (KRS 14A.6-010(3))
What it costs
$15.
What happens if you miss it
No dollar late fee found; the only consequence is the dissolution procedure.
What eventually happens if it stays unfiled: Missing the June 30 due date is itself a statutory dissolution ground; the entity then has 60 days from the date notice was mailed to cure before dissolution. (KRS 14A.7-010(1)(a), KRS 14A.7-020(2)) “If the entity does not within sixty (60) days from the date on which the notice was mailed, correct each ground for dissolution… the Secretary of State shall administratively dissolve the entity.”

What this page does not answer
State income tax, franchise tax and federal (IRS) filing obligations are separate from this report and follow their own deadlines and rules. This page does not source those. We have the state periodic-report answer at primary and nothing else.
The annual/biennial report fee above is a recurring cost of keeping the LLC active, separate from what it cost to form. See what an LLC costs in Kentucky for the full cost picture.
