Is Snowden Lane Partners a Fiduciary? What Its Own Form CRS Says (2026)

Guides › Financial Advisor Fees

Updated September 28, 2026. Quick answer: Mostly yes, with one carve-out. Snowden Lane Partners is registered with the SEC only as an investment adviser, so on your advisory account it owes you a fiduciary duty under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Its own Form CRS states: “We are held to a fiduciary standard that includes duties of loyalty and care that cover our entire investment advisory relationship with you.” A limited number of Snowden Lane Partners’ financial professionals are separately licensed to sell brokerage products in a different capacity, where the weaker Regulation Best Interest standard, not a fiduciary duty, applies instead.

How it’s registered

From Form CRS, Customer Relationship Summary, Snowden Lane Partners (October 1, 2025): “Snowden Account Services LLC (“SAS”) (SEC-registered; FINRA member) Investment Adviser Services Advisory Accounts Snowden Capital Advisors LLC (“SCA”) (SEC-registered)”

The standard of conduct, in its own words

“We are held to a fiduciary standard that includes duties of loyalty and care that cover our entire investment advisory relationship with you.”

On commissions: “some of our supervised persons accept compensation for the sale of securities or other investment products, in their individual capacities as registered representatives of our affiliated broker-dealer, Snowden Account Services LLC.”

What this means for what you pay

Fiduciary status is one input, not the whole picture. Snowden Lane Partners discloses a published fee that runs up to $15,000 a year on a $500,000 account (the published maximum, which the firm says is negotiable); see the full dollar breakdown from Snowden Lane Partners’ own fee disclosure before deciding whether the standard of conduct here changes your answer.
