Updated August 10, 2026. Quick answer. Forming an LLC in Nevada costs $75 for the articles of organization, but $425 to actually open: $75 articles + $150 initial list + $200 state business license, all due at the same time to file, and an ongoing report requirement ($150 annual list, due on or before the last day of the anniversary month – and the $200 business license renews with it, so the real recurring cost is $350/year). Five-year total: $1,825 over five years, every component verified.
What it actually costs
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Formation filing fee | $75 for the articles of organization, but $425 to actually open: $75 articles + $150 initial list + $200 state business license, all due at the same time |
| Annual/biennial report | $150 annual list, due on or before the last day of the anniversary month – and the $200 business license renews with it, so the real recurring cost is $350/year |
| Franchise / minimum tax | $200/year state business license (the LLC-equivalent of a franchise tax); $500/year for corporations |
| Publication requirement | No newspaper publication requirement was found. |
Five-year cost of ownership: $1,825 over five years, every component verified. Publication cost is excluded from this figure — it’s county-driven where it applies, not state-driven, so a single number would be wrong for most filers.
Expedited filing: Statutory caps: up to $1,000 for service within 1 hour; up to $500 for more than 1 but within 2 hours; up to $125 for any other special service including 2-to-24-hour service and fax filing

If the LLC already exists somewhere else
Everything above prices forming a new Nevada LLC. A company that already exists in another state does not have to be dissolved and re-formed: Nevada takes it in as the same legal entity by the route its own code captions domestication, NRS 92A.270 (also reachable via NRS 92A.195(1)), and the entity-law filing fee for it is $350 — a separate filing from the formation costs above. Going the other way, a Nevada LLC may leave for another US state under NRS 92A.195(2). Either way the move needs both ends to allow it — the state being left as well as the state being joined — which is where most published advice goes wrong.
