Updated August 10, 2026. Quick answer. Forming an LLC in Arizona costs $50 regular; $85 with expedited processing to file, and no periodic report is required. Five-year total: At least $50 over five years — one or more components (commonly the franchise/minimum tax) is unverified, so treat this as a floor, not a total.

What it actually costs

ItemAmount
Formation filing fee$50 regular; $85 with expedited processing
Annual/biennial reportnone — Arizona LLCs file no annual or periodic report
Franchise / minimum taxnone identified
Publication requirementrequired — 3 consecutive publications within 60 days, unless the statutory agent’s county exceeds 800,000 population

Five-year cost of ownership: At least $50 over five years — one or more components (commonly the franchise/minimum tax) is unverified, so treat this as a floor, not a total. Publication cost is excluded from this figure — it’s county-driven where it applies, not state-driven, so a single number would be wrong for most filers.

Expedited filing: $35 expedited premium (Articles of Organization $85 total); 2-hour $400; same day $200; next day $100

The trap worth knowing before you file

Two-source row: fee statute (A.R.S. 29-3213, 29-3201) read verbatim on azleg.gov, and the Arizona Corporation Commission’s own LLC fee schedule PDF (Rev. 3.2026) downloaded and extracted with pypdf. They agree on the $50 base. NOTE for future runs: A.R.S. 29-3702 is ‘Winding up’, NOT the publication section — a plausible-looking guess at the citation returned the wrong statute and was caught by reading the caption. The publication requirement is 29-3201(G).

If the LLC already exists somewhere else

Everything above prices forming a new Arizona LLC. A company that already exists in another state does not have to be dissolved and re-formed: Arizona takes it in as the same legal entity by the route its own code captions domestication, A.R.S. § 29-2501; § 29-4003, and the entity-law filing fee for it is $50 as the agency last published it (that fee page carries no date) — a separate filing from the formation costs above. Going the other way, an Arizona LLC may leave for another US state under A.R.S. § 29-2501. Either way the move needs both ends to allow it — the state being left as well as the state being joined — which is where most published advice goes wrong.
