Is ZIP the right fit for me?
Start here if you want straightforward drinking water at the lower upfront price. Fill the reservoir with treated household tap water and run a batch; about half a gallon takes approximately 15 minutes, sometimes up to 20.
Size: 9.5″ wide × 14.5″ deep × 16.25″ high. Tanks pull out from the front. You’ll need a power outlet, refill the reservoir, empty reject water, and replace filters periodically.
ZIP does not heat or cool water. AlcaPure adds minerals back after RO; OnliPure targets zero TDS. A TDS reading alone does not establish water safety.

Your water.
Your temperature.

- Hot-water convenience for everyday drinks
- Refillable design—no plumbing connection
- Wi-Fi/app-connected U1-W model
Is U1-W the right fit for me?
Compare U1-W if hot-water dispensing and more temperature choices will be useful every day. The higher price buys those features; ZIP remains the simpler room-temperature option.
Size: 9.5″ wide × 19″ deep × 17″ high. Allow access to refill the tank and check counter depth, overhead space, and electrical requirements before ordering.
Cool, not instant ice-cold: RKIN says approximately 15 ounces cool to 59°F in around 15 minutes. Allow time between cooling batches. Hot water requires care around children.

What ongoing upkeep should I expect?
Both systems need electricity, manual tank refills, periodic cleaning, reject-water disposal, and replacement filters. Check RKIN’s filter prices and replacement schedule for your chosen model. Usage and source-water quality affect upkeep.
What about filtration and certification?
RKIN lists ZIP as certified by IAPMO R&T to NSF/ANSI 58 for reduction of total dissolved solids, fluoride, lead, hexavalent chromium, and trivalent chromium. This is not a claim that it removes every contaminant, and ZIP’s certification does not extend to U1-W.
RKIN provides separate third-party test documentation for U1-W. Review the exact model’s performance data for your needs. Start with treated household tap water and follow feed-water limits; untreated well water or a safety concern calls for appropriate testing and treatment first.
Where can I check shipping and delivery?
These comparisons are for US shoppers. RKIN’s product pages advertise free shipping in the contiguous US; confirm your address, stock and current terms on the merchant page. We don’t promise an arrival date.
How do returns and the warranty work?
RKIN lists a one-year manufacturer warranty for these new systems. Returns require authorization and customer-paid return shipping. After 30 days, its one-year return program involves a 25% restocking fee and store credit, not an unconditional cash refund. Read the current return policy before ordering.
