SparkReceipt’s own trial FAQ still lists the plan renewing at $16.65 a month billed annually, $199.98 a year, while the pricing page shows $8.33. Its official pages conflict, so the checkout screen is your source of truth: it shows your exact first charge and renewal amount. Read it, confirm both numbers, and screenshot it before you tap subscribe. That screen is the contract, this page is not.
If a website purchase converts and you change your mind, SparkReceipt’s terms allow a refund request within 15 days after the trial ended, calculated as 90% of the charge minus 15 cents per processed document. App-store purchases follow Apple or Google policies.

Does the trial really require a card?
Yes. SparkReceipt says a credit card is required for the 7-day trial, and canceling before it ends prevents the charge. Put a reminder on day 5. We would rather you cancel on purpose than pay by accident.
What exactly will I be charged?
Its own pages disagree right now: the pricing page says $99.99 a year for new users, the trial FAQ says $199.98 after the trial. Checkout settles it. That screen shows your exact first charge and renewal amount; screenshot it before you subscribe.
How accurate is the scanning?
We did not benchmark it, and no review can benchmark it for your receipts. Your trial is the only benchmark that matters: run your ten ugliest receipts through it in week one and check every field.
Isn’t a spreadsheet free?
It is free the way mowing your own lawn is free: you pay in Sunday evenings. Run the calculator above with honest numbers. If the math says keep the spreadsheet, keep the spreadsheet.
What happens to my records if I cancel later?
SparkReceipt exports to PDF, Excel, CSV, and ZIP. Export everything before you close the account and your records stay yours, in formats any accountant can open.
Will my accountant accept this?
Ask them which format they want before your trial ends, and test that exact handoff inside the 7 days instead of discovering the answer in April. SparkReceipt organizes and exports your data; it does not decide what is deductible or whether an entry is correct.
